The session will take you through some fundamental Pilates exercises so you should come dressed as you would for class. Wear comfortable clothing that allows plenty of flexibility and is preferably reasonably fitted so your alignment can be seen eg leggings, yoga/jazz pants, fitted tracksuit bottoms; fitted sports top or T-shirt; lightweight top layer if desired; warm socks. Pilates is recognised as a useful rehabilitation tool by physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths and as such many clinical practitioners refer clients to Pilates classes as part of their maintenance regime. If you are currently experiencing any pain, you should seek medical advice before beginning Pilates. Mats, cushions, therabands and toning circles are all provided. Other small items of equipment e.g. overballs can be purchased if desired via the instructor. |
